American Express Sync has recently come out with more promotions after a dry period. These following offers are currently only available via Facebook. Remember that to qualify, you must link your American Express card to your Facebook. You may then load the offer onto your card and the statement credit will be automatically applied to your account.

American Express Waives Transaction Fees on Donations

In light of Hurricane Sandy, American Express is waiving transaction fees on donations to select charities and non-profit organizations. This waive is extended for the rest of 2012. Donations must be made through this MembersGive site. Membership Reward points can also be redeemed to make a donation. Note that transaction fees may be waived retroactively.

American Express and Walmart – Bluebird

Together, American Express and Walmart have launched Bluebird, a checking and debit alternative. There is a $5 activation fee, but no monthly, annual, overdraft, minimum balance, or customer service fee. There is an ATM fee which is waived for direct deposit customers at MoneyPass ATMs. It’s free to reload your card when done at a Walmart store.

Other benefits include the ability to deposit checks and transfer money through the Bluebird app for iOS and Android devices. You can also create up to 4 Sub-Accounts for your family. Other services include 24/7 Amex Customer Service, Purchase Protection, fraud protection, Global Assist Services, Roadside Assistance.

Sign up for Serve, add $25+ to your account by December 31st & get $25 statement credit! Serve is a digital prepaid account from American Express that provides their users with a safe way to pay in stores, online, and mobile. Users can also send & request money on Facebook. Not only can you use your Serve card to pay anywhere where American Express Cards are accepted, but you can easily move money on the go, easily split the bill, or pay a friend back.

You can also create sub accounts for family and friends. You account can be funded with a bank account, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa card. Be aware that there are $2 ATM fees, but the first withdrawal each month is free.
