Through June 29th, 16 GB NOOK Simple Touch purchases come with a free $50 gift card. Gift card can be applied to eBooks, apps, accessories, and more. The 16 GB Nook currently costs $249, making it the same price as the  8GB one ($199) with the gift card. Store purchasers will receive the $50 gift card at check out. Online orders include free shipping & the gift card will be e-mailed within a few days.

However, there are rumors swirling around that B&N is working on a updated NOOK Tablet. B&N also introduced Nook for the Web yesterday which allows readers to access books online from their computer without software download or log in.

Purchase a 16GB NOOK Tablet by July 8th and receive a FREE $30 Barnes & Noble gift card. The NOOK Tablet can be purchased across B&N stores, or online. There is no limit on the amount of gift cards that can be received. Expect your gift card to be mailed by July 14th.
