Reminder: 2013 First Quarter 5% Cash Back Offers

A few days ago, we posted about 2013’s first quarter 5% cash back offers from Chase, Citi, and Discover. Back then, only registration for Discover’s Cashback offer was opened. As of now, registration is open for all 3 cards, so hurry up and register! The first quarter runs from January 1, 2013-March 31, 2013.

As a reminder, here are the 5% cashback categories for each card:

  • Chase Freedom: Gas stations, Drugstores, and Starbucks stores. Up to $75 cash back ($1,500 in purchases). Sign up begins December 15th.
  • Citi Dividend: Zappos.com*, Fitness clubs, Drugstores. Up to $300 cash back ($6,000 in purchases) per calendar year. Sign up not yet open.
  • Discover Card: Restaurants and Movies. Up to $75 cash back ($1,500 in purchases). Registration is currently open.

There is a limit of $1,500 spend in these categories, which translates to a limit of $75 back. Don’t forget that you earn 1% cash back on all other purchases too! Last day to activate is September 14th.

 

Upcoming 5% cash back in October-December are effective towards hotel, airline, Best Buy, and Kohl’s purchases. Activation period begins September 15th. You can also opt to receive e-mail and text reminders!

FREE VIP Lounge for Visa Chase Cardholders at the London Olympics

The 2012 London Olympic Games are looming upon us! Chase members can make the most of their trip just by flashing their Visa card to gain exclusive access to Visa’s VIP Lounge. Up to 5 guests can also accompany cardholder, provided that there is space. This event is FREE, but as space is limited and sure to fill up quick, it is best to RSVP (you also receive a special welcome gift if you do).

The Visa VIP Lounge is located at 116 Pall Mall in London’s West End, just a short distance from the Olympic Games and other London sights. It will be open daily during the Olympic Games, July 27-August 12, from 10:00 am to midnight.

The VIP Lounge will feature:

  • Appearances by Olympic Athletes
  • Food, wine, beer and other refreshments daily
